Civil engineering was originally defined simply to distinguish non-military engineering from military engineering.  In reality it deals with the design, construction and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment.

In more simple terms Civil Engineers design all types of infrastructure including, bridges, roads, railways, canals, dams, harbours, airports, drainage systems, drinking water supplies, sewerage treatment plants, etc.  At Evolution Engineers Ltd we can offer civil engineering design solutions for a wide range of small to medium size projects mainly in the residential, commercial, retail, leisure, education, healthcare and farming sectors of the industry.

Structural Engineering is often defined as “the science and art of designing and making, with economy and elegance, buildings, bridges, frameworks and other similar structures so that they can safely resist the forces to which they may be subjected”.

In more simple terms Structural Engineers design the skeleton of any structure so that it is firstly safe, secondly economic, and finally, where possible as elegant as possible.  When all three of these principals are combined, iconic structures can be created in harmony with an Architects vision of the built environment.  At Evolution Engineers Ltd we ensure that we keep to those principals for any design work undertaken, so that we offer our clients the best solution to meet their own individual requirements.
